Lionel at a family LCA (Leber's Congenital Amaurosis) in Indianapolis. Typically, children born with LCA have some functional vision at birth, but they are legally blind and possess less than 10% of normal vision. LCA is a degenerative disease, and without a cure, the limited vision these children are born with will progressively decline.
