Shifting Gears

Alrighty, folks, listen up! My running legs have shaken off their slumber – I mean, seriously, they've practically been in hibernation since the marathon. But guess what? It's time to hit the trails once more! And this time, Lionel and I are strapping on our helmets and gearing up for the mother of all biking adventures: RAGBRAI - Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa.

Now in case you're wondering what in the world RAGBRAI is, it's only the oldest, longest, and largest bike ride on planet earth. Imagine 434 miles of pure pedaling madness through the vast expanse of Iowa, surrounded by a s 30,000 fellow “psycle”paths. It's like a rolling carnival with non-stop grub, live tunes, and an incredible sense of camaraderie.

Rather than just a dad and his son, we want to create the ultimate biking brigade! So, if you've got a hankering for adventure this summer, consider this your official invite to join our Hope in Motion team. Whether you can ride for just one day or you're up for the full seven, we want you by our side on the road or at the campsite.

Our goal for this massive adventure is to raise $10,000 for support the amazing work being conducted by the Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation. Over the past year, they've made huge strides towards finding a cure for those affected by CRB1, with groundbreaking studies on gene modifications and gut health. Plus, they're all about supporting families, connecting them with experts, and providing guidance every step of the way.

So, if you're in a position to donate, every dollar counts, or even just spreading the word can make a world of difference. And speaking of spreading the word, I'll be keeping you updated weekly on Lionel and my training adventures, as well as all the incredible people and experiences we encounter along the way. Let the good time roll! 🚴‍-o 💨
